Thomas left Meldrum Primary School back in 2000 and after working in the Charity sector for several years wanted to give back to the community and help the school he attended aged 5-12.

Now a professional boxer, Thomas ran the Edinburgh 1/2 Marathon on Sunday 28th May to help raise much needed funds to build an outdoor play structure for the children of the school. He is now looking at other ways of working with the school to help share his knowledge of health and fitness to the children as well as thinking of new ways to help raise money.

Health and Wellbeing is a core part of the Curriculum and Thomas is very passionate about working closely with the school to inspire the children and showing them exactly what can be achieved when you work hard and set yourself a goal.

An outdoor play structure is much needed and would benefit all the children in the school with fun as well as fitness to formal and informal lessons.
