As some of you know, I have several family member's who are doctors and Cardiologist, so this is an opportunity for me to contribute in my own way without wielding a bistoury/scalpel.

I will be taking part in the "Traversée De Bordeaux" on the 23rd June which involves swimming 1.7km section of the Garonne river in Bordeaux.

I am raising money for the "lien du coeur" charity. This charity is dedicated to helping parents with children suffering from congenital heart disease.Their 3 main objectives of the charity are:

- Improving reception conditions, the quality of life of hospitalized children and adolescents, avoiding isolation.

- Allowing the family to stay with the child, avoiding breaking the Link and recreate an environment like home, away from home.

- Providing entertainment for kids during hospitalization, allowing the child or adolescent to approach and meet some of his favorite "heroes" or personalities.

This Charity is chaired by the professor Jean-Benoît THAMBO who led the service of congenital cardiovascular diseases at the Hospital Haut Leveque in Bordeaux.
