Story
Anegada is a the most remote island in the British Virgin Islands. It is heavily dependent upon tourism and well known for it's warm welcoming community.
Hurricane Irma has destroyed the lives and livelihoods of the islanders. The community needs funds to restore, replace and rebuild.
Our hearts are broken to see the devastation Category 5 Hurricane Irma has caused our beloved islands.
The warm and wonderful people who call the VI's home and whom we are proud to call our friends are now in desperate need.
One of the biggest hurdles the people of the Virgin Islands will face is a lack of coverage; especially with most media being directed towards mainland USA. But there is a serious discrepancy in the resources available to the BVI communities.
I own a kitesurfing school on Anegada but I was one of the fortunate ones to be out of the country at the time of the disaster. I will be looking to go back as soon as it is feasible with a view to helping as many people as possible.
PLEASE HELP. ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL BE GOING DIRECTLY TO THE ANEGADA COMMUNITY.
