Hi, my name is Thomas Keer, I am profoundly deaf and I am a sixth former at Mary Hare School, which is a deaf school in Newbury, UK.

I want to raise money for a volunteering trip to Sri Lanka. I'm going to go to Sri Lanka with other sixth formers like me to help at a Deaf school there. They don't have much money to improve their school, so we want to raise money so we will go there to help them. We are going to go there for two weeks.

Before that, of course I won't be sitting on my lazy bum while you donate... ...so instead I will challenge myself with physical activities!!!

I wanted to run a half-marathon, but unfortunately I can't because I have ulcerative colitis. So I need to do something different!

On Sunday 13th May, I will be doing three exercise classes back-to-back in my gym, and then I will run 4 miles from my gym to my house. So that's the same exercise as a half-marathon - about 4 hours of exercise without stopping. Don't worry about me, I reeeeaalllly love exercise anyway!

So please help me in my challenge, and you can help Deaf children who need more help than I do...
