Weʼve raised £2,102 to Raise Money for Ronald McDonald House Evelina London

Funded on Friday, 10th August 2018

    Story

My Wife and I are organising a 2nd CHARITY GOLF DAY on the 10th June 2018 in aid of Ronald McDonald Housing which accommodated my wife and myself in December 2016.

Last year we raised over £4500 and want to achieve a total of £5000 which is enough to sponsor a room for an entire year.

Our late baby son Thomas was in hospital in London at St Thomas' Evelina ward for children with congenital heart disease for 5 weeks.

Ronald McDonald Housing provided us and other families of children in hospital with a safe place to stay when their children are in being cared for. All the charity's locations are within ten minutes of the hospital.

Once families are admitted to the houses they are able to stay as long as required, sometimes for months, sometimes even up to a year but they are eligible to stay as long as required.
Family and friends are also allowed to stay in the room with the parents for additional support.

The houses are more than just rooms, they have lounges, fitted kitchens and laundry facilities to enable families to live as normal lives as possible during such hard circumstances.

We are looking to raise money for them as they are solely funded by charity donations from fundraising events like what I am organising and by the spare change boxes on the counters in McDonald's restaurants.

We are looking for companies willing to sponsor a golf hole for the price of £100 and place a banner or any form of mobile advertising on the tee for the day. This would be great advertising for your company in return for a kind donation to the charity.

We are also looking for raffle prizes for a raffle on the day

We are aiming for around 80+ players on the day and your advertising banner would be seen be all of these and also the golfers at the club during the Sundays play on peak golfing day during height of summer.

Anything you would be able to donate would be greatly received.

Thank you for taking the time to read this
