Story
I am walking Around Wales starting in Carmarthen on 13 May and finishing in Carmarthen on 22 Jul 17, going anti clockwise. I will be raising monies to help my cousin's daughter Heti, who was born profoundly deaf, her parents allowed her to have the pioneering Auditory Brainstem Implant at Manchester's Children Hospital. Having the implant, was just the beginning for Heti. She has since been having intensive speech and language therapy at Ysgol Parc y Rhun Hearing Impairment Unit in Ammanford, which is quite costly for the family.
Heti is the only child in Wales with this type of implant.
The money raised will be split between Heti and the school that she attends - which is a specialist unit for children with hearing impairment.
Lets help children like this to improve their lives, as we take seeing and hearing for granted
