Story

Thompson Wright supporting and raising funds for Pink Sisters Staffs Breast Cancer Support Group (a Macmillan support group)

The Pink Sisters are a friendly group of ladies who regularly meet both in group and socially to provide advice, support and friendship at diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond. The group is predominantly Breast Cancer Survivors but they also offer support to anyone with any cancer diagnosis.

The Group is currently fundraising to enable them to open a tearoom / drop in centre for cancer sufferers and their families to ensure that support is readily and easily accessible on a daily basis.

The Group supports everybody and offers:

 Befriending

 Cancer information materials

 Counselling

 Home visiting

 Information

 Catchment area – Staffordshire.

A team of our staff are helping to raise funds for this very worthwhile Group by doing A Midnight Mountain Climb challenge from Snowdon base camp to the summit in complete darkness. They will set off just before midnight on 14 June aiming to see the sun rise on the next day. After admiring the view, the walkers will return to base camp to celebrate with a well-deserved breakfast.

Its tough going as it’s so dark but it’s nothing compared to the ongoing battles faced by the members of this Group and the people they support.

Please support us by giving whatever you can to help The Pink Sisters open their tearoom / drop in centre.

We thank you for any donations and wish everyone the best of luck on their mountain climb for such a worthy cause.

Thank you

Thompson Wright.
