Story

I set up Thorne Hedgehog Rescue to take in, treat, rehabilitate and release sick and injured hedgehogs, in May of 2022 with the aim of opening in the Autumn.

There is no rescue for hedgehogs south of here and the need for one is this area quickly became apparant! I cover Ashford and the surrounding villages, down as far as Tenterden, Rye, Lydd, Romney, Folkestone and Dover.already, I have had over 100 hedgehogs pass through the rescue so far. I really need cages build for the space I have available so that I can maximize capacity.

I also need incubators for the most critical hedgehogs that arrive and for the baby hoglets that come in. I have already hand reared and weaned around 30 babies this year.

Anything raised above the amount shown will go toward the day to day running costs which include; food, disinfectants, gloves, needles, syringes and medications.
