Thorne Memorial Park Miniature Railway is a 7 ¹⁄₄ in gauge miniature railway built in 1998 in Thorne, South Yorkshire, England, operating on two loops within the park. Wikipedia. We are a voluntary organisation that have served the Thorne Community for over 21 years. Please do have a look at the images and news stories showing the young people of Thorne and the local area enjoying themselves on the trains (adults also seem to be be very happy as well).

As per pandemic and the lockdowns that the country has faced we have been unable to run since the start of the 1st lock down and therefore have very little funds in our contingency budgets left to cover essential public liability insurances and running costs for the Model Railway.

We are seeking funding to help contribute to the running costs such as insurance for the Model Railway which are over £1600+ per year along with general maintenance

This is a great opportunity to become involved in local community activities and to promote your organisation.

We welcome you to a running day (dates are advertised on our Facebook Page but they are normally held on Sundays 1200 - 1500) to see the track, engines and shed. Parents, carers, Grandparents, family and friends would be most welcome to bring the young members of their family to have a ride and take part in activities.

Any support that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
