Story

Seven of us are going to be taking on the 3 Peaks challenge on the 28th of July to raise money for the Battle Against Glioblastoma (Charlottes BAG) in memory of Neil Brealey who passed away in November 2017 from this disease.

What is Glioblastoma and why do we need to fund research?

Glioblastoma is a rare type of brain tumour which is currently nearly always terminal. Brain cancer research is significantly underfunded with only 1% of annual funding going towards research into cancers of the brain.

Why Charlotte's BAG?

Charlotte's BAG is one of the only UK charities to specifically focus on this type of cancer. It was founded through Charlotte Eades who died of Glioblastoma when she was 19, Charlotte shared her battle to raise awareness about this disease. It is run by volunteers and 100% of money raised goes directly to the research of a cure. Read more http://www.charlottesbag.com/

What is the challenge?

The challenge is to climb and descend all three mountains in under 24 hours. These are Ben Nevis; Scaffel Pike and Snowdon.

Who is doing the challenge?

We are a group of friends who have known each other since secondary school. We are doing this in memory of Neil Brealey, Josh's father, who the whole group knew well.

Thank you for reading our story and please donate so we can find a cure for this.
