Someone dropped out of a National Three Peaks Challenge team and they needed an extra body to make it work. So, despite having done zero training and carrying a stiff hip, I said yes.

So, I’ll be attempting to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours – a challenge I’ve always wanted to do but never got round to because of the logistics. Now, the chance has landed in my lap and I’m going for it.

I’m also using the opportunity to raise £800 for The Let’s Talk Project CIC - an emotional support and listening service I co-founded a few years ago. It’s a small but important service that’s helped a lot of people over the years already, by offering a kind ear when it’s most needed.

The money raised will go towards things like:

* Covering our room rent at the ABD Centre

* Keeping our phone line open so people can be supported at any time of the day.
