UPDATED TARGET…

As we hit our target of £1,000 so quickly thanks to everyone for your much appreciated donations, we are so close to raising £3,000 we decided to carry on and try to raise £1,000 in memory for each of our 3 babies totalling £3,000 donating clothing to the unit as below ❤️

Hi Everyone,

Many of you know about the tragic loss of Rocco, Angel (Angelo) and Reeva. In memory of our beautiful babies, and in the hope of supporting other parents, we would like to raise money for the Neonatal unit at James Cook Hospital. Specifically, to source and fund suitable outfits for micro preterm babies. Hopefully, we can get some donations along the way too 👏

When Rocco passed, Adelle and Andy fought hard to change clinical policies and procedures to ensure that no other family has to go through the unnecessary battles Adelle and Andy faced. They want to make a difference now too ❤

When a preterm baby passes away, there is a shortage of suitable outfits to dress them in when parents are saying goodbye. An unexpected premature birth is a difficult time alone, and having the time or knowledge to think about clothes is not something parents have. It is heart breaking to then see your baby dressed in the outfit provided, which can be so big on them that they are lost in it. Our aim is provide the unit with as many micro preemie outfits as we can, which will take this distress away from other parents in the future.

To start the ball rolling, Kirsty will be training to run the Goathland Virtual 16 mile Hardmoors in December, and plannning an Ultra Marathon (32miles) next year.

We would be so grateful for any donations via this page or in cash. We have a prize giveaway £2 per entry which will be drawn on Sunday 13th December. Any donations received your names will automatically be entered into the draw. For each £2 donation is 1 entry, so if you donate anything more than this your name will have multiple entries in the draw. 1st prize is a hamper, 2nd prize is a handmade wreath. We will be doing a few of these over the coming months to help reach our target.
