EDIT: WE HIT OUR TARGET & COMPLETED THE THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE! We are now 55% over our target which is beyond fantastic, thank you everyone! We know there are still people out there who have asked about donating now that we have completed the hiking challenge, therefore this campaign will continue running until Sunday 30th June. THANK YOU!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year, our close family friend Jackie Barnett was unfortunately diagnosed with terminal cancer. Jackie has selflessly centred the past 22 years of her life on providing for her son, Owen, who has cerebral palsy. Since her diagnosis, Jackie’s only focus has been ensuring Owen has all the support and security he needs to live out his life with ease. Our youngest brother, Aaron, attends disability daycare with Owen, furthering our proximity to this cause.

In June, my brother (Morgan) and I have decided to take on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 48 hours. The money raised will be going towards helping Jackie in providing a life of fulfilment for Owen.

Owen produces miles of smiles on a daily basis; however, this is one of the few things he is able to do for himself. For all other aspects of life, Owen is dependent on others, most notably me. My greatest concern is his happiness and security. Owen is a very sociable young man, who deserves to enjoy experiences with his peer. - Jackie (Mother) - October, 2018

Our challenge will be taking us across all 3 nations of Great Britain, setting off from our home in Worcester on a 440-mile drive for the Scottish Highlands. Our challenge will commence with Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. From here we will travel south across the border for the Lake District’s Scafell Pike, before moving on to our challenge’s conclusion in the Snowdonia National Park. We will be doing this challenge completely unassisted and driving ourselves from peak to peak.

Ben Nevis, Highland, Scotland (4,413 ft)

Scafell Pike, Cumbria, England (3,209 ft)

Snowdon, Gwynedd, Wales (3,560 ft)

Total Climb: 11,182 ft / Total Travel: 1,087 miles (round trip)

(Whilst we would love to undertake this challenge in 24 hours, due to logistical reasons surrounding Morgan's diabetes, 48 hours was deemed more appropriate for the challenge. We are however fully registered with the Three Peaks official site for the challenge now, please check it out below).

We’d be extremely grateful for any donations to help us reach our £1,000 target for this incredible cause which is very close to our hearts.

Thank you for your support.
