Story

On the 12th September 2021 we’ll be pushing ourselves both physically and mentally, hiking day and night, to climb the 3 highest peaks in the UK, WITHIN 24HRS!

We’ll start at Ben Nevis, Scotland (1345m) then Scafell Pike, England (978m) and our final climb at Snowdon, Wales (1085m).

We’re doing this challenge to help raise much needed funds and awareness for the GF Community Foundation who are supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our local communities in County Durham.

One of the projects the Foundation is working in partnership with is One Step At A Time , based in Spennymoor, County Durham. One Step At A Time supports individuals with Mental Health challenges who are disengaged, isolated or not in education, offering a safe place where individuals can access support.

This last year has been a time of change for our community, the need for mental health and wellbeing support has increased considerably and at the same time fundraising has taken a hit. Every penny raised from this extremely tough challenge will help families and communities in County Durham.

The Three Peaks Challenge Team: Caroline Crilley, Reaves Kelly, Lee Debenham, Tay Wright, John Bowes, Katie Maw, James Fawcett, Ian Edwards, Jack Franks and support staff Hamish Wood, Linzi Potts and Leanne Stephenson.
