Story

A team of volunteers from Thrive Architects left Romsey, Hampshire on Wednesday 16th March 2022 with two vans filled to the rafters with aid generously donated by our staff and others.

Thrive Architects paid for the hire of two long wheel based vans, fuel, accommodation and tunnel so all donations to our Just Giving page will purchase much needed equipment, and not fund the trip.

It's estimated that the drive will be approx. 19 hours from Calais to our first destination. We have two teams each taking their turn to drive.

Our first destination will be Olsztyn, in the north-east of Poland which is very much under prepared for the Ukrainians fleeing their homeland.

Once in Olsztyn we will unload the vans and then with the money donated via our Just Giving page we will re-stock the vans from local supermarkets, hypermarkets, DIY stores as many times as we can and deliver to another destination in the south nearer the border with Ukraine.

In the event we have money left in the account upon our return this will be donated to the official Ukrainian Appeal fund.

We don't need to justify our reasons for going, or the cause, you only have to see the news to realise the devastation.

Please give whatever you can, it will make a huge difference.

We Thrive together to bring a smile from across the miles.
