    Story

As many of you will know I broke my back in a motorbike accident when I was 17. As an avid sportsperson before the accident, losing the use of my legs was a difficult thing to come to terms with. Over time as I rehabilitated and rebuilt my life, the thing I missed most was sport.

When I watched the London Olympics in 2012 I was inspired to return to the track and satisfy my competitive streak. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to borrow a racing chair and my love of athletics was reignited. In 2013 I was overwhelmed by the generosity of others that made it possible for me to purchase my own custom-made racing chair. In the years that have followed I have worked hard, training six times a weeks, to be at a competitive standard. Appearing in a good position on the International Paralympic Committee World rankings is a good indication that the training is starting to pay off!

Helped by an amazing coach, some awesome training partners and a great support network, I have achieved more than I ever thought possible. I have had the opportunity to race in some of the best races in the world, both on the road and on track. However, all of this comes at a price. I receive no sponsorship, or funding; to maintain a custom-made racing chair, and all of the ancillary equipment/kit is expensive. I also self-fund the majority of my travel, hotel and competition fees.
The 2018 season would consist of racing in the Boston, Berlin, Chicago, Japan and New York marathons, local half marathons and 10km's and track racing at the Swiss Nationals. Any support towards helping me reach these goals would be massively appreciated.
Reaching these goals would give me the opportunity for the world championships in 2019 and ultimately Tokyo 2020. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
