Our beautiful little girl, Tian, was recently involved in a heart breaking and life changing incident. On Friday 10th November Tian’s life was saved by two off duty paramedics and she was airlifted from the scene to St George's Hospital London where she has been in Intensive Care ever since. Her Mum and Dad have been by her side 24 hours a day and we know she has been receiving the best possible care. Remarkably, Tian is slowly coming off life support but we are left with the devastating and emotional reality that she will need extensive and expensive rehabilitation over the coming months and years, possibly for a lifetime.

We’ve been deeply touched by the support of family, friends and general public, with whom we have decided to start a fund for Tian so she will be able to access the best possible support she will need in the future. To give you an example of the kinds of things involved, we’re talking speech therapy, intensive rehabilitation to try and help her walk again and psychological support for what has been an extremely traumatic event for Tian.

We don’t know if we’ll ever get our grade 5 pianist, grade 6 violinist, football fanatic, dancing girl back in the same way. What we do know, is that as parents we have to do something. Your support means the world to us all at what is undoubtedly the most difficult time we have ever faced in our lives.
