Story

Tia's background information is a follows.
In January this year Tia health spiralled for the worst, from being a healthy young cheeky smiling 7 yr. who had a massive passion for horses and horse riding .
Tia had a seizure that led her to being taken into hospital in the Isle of Man, where they noticed from a MRI scan that things wasn't right.
Tia was then taken by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital, where they scanned her again and diagnosed her with what's called (Craniopharyngioma)

Cranionpharyn is a rare type of brain tumour derived from pituitary gland embryonic tissue that occurs most commonly in children, but also affects adults. ... People may present with bitemporal inferior quadrantanopia leading to bitemporal hemianopsia, as the tumour may compress the optic chiasm. Tia underwent surgery to remove 80% of the tumour in hope that she would make a full recovery.

Since the operation Tia has been back and forth to Alder Hey and nobles hospital for regular tests treatments. Unfortunately over the last couple of months, Tia has started to become unwell again she was recently scanned in Alder Hey Hospital, where they found that the tumour had started to grow and also starting to show was a small cyst . The tumour is now starting to put pressure against her optical nerves which has related to a small part of her peripheral vision being damaged.

Tia is now in need of proton therapy that is only given to children in Germany or America,

Proton therapy also called proton beam therapy it's a type of radiation therapy uses protons rather than X-rays to treat tumours a proton is a positively charged particle.

Along side the stress of their daughter being so ill, Tia's parents are obviously going to have to go abroad with Tia while she is undergoing her treatment, so although the IOM government are funding Tia's treatment, Stuart and Claire will need to find the money to live away from home for 3 Months as well as keep their home and commitments on Island.
