My name is Tiegan Flint I am 16 year old, In the summer of 2019 I am taking part in a voluntary expedition to Ecuador for 1 month. I am excited that I can help people less fortunate than myself.

Whilst in Ecuador I shall be helping with beach clean ups ,building school kitchens to the correct standards and Ethnobotanical Garden (Amazonia)

The Amazon rainforest is one of the most important regions in the world and is home to more than 1000 animal species. However, it’s also one of the most threatened. You’ll help by establishing and maintaining an ethnobotanical garden and tree nursery for the community that can be used for reforestation and preserving cultural medicinal knowledge.

I feel this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I feel honoured that I can help so many people who are less fortunate then myself. Not only a great opportunity but also this will give me great life skills, help to build my confidence and self esteem.
