I've raised £2000 to help fund the building costs of a classroom in Nepal in order to provide an education, and support the charity - classroom in the clouds

The money raised on this page will be used to fund the costs of travelling to Nepal to take part in this worthwhile expedition.
This is a once in a life time opportunity, that allows me to make a difference in peoples lives. From other trips I have come to believe that reaching out into a community as a volunteer can have a long lasting impact, which I love to be a part of.
Working with the charity Classrooms in the Clouds, the London and Cheshire groups of Fire Cadets are hoping to build a brand new 6 classroom school. It is situated in a remote village in the Basa region of Nepal, in Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone, where better education is urgently needed. 71.6% of males and 44.5% of females do not have any form of education.
This region also suffered a huge amount of destruction to villages and communities from last years earthquakes, so the need for this building is even greater.
