For the past few years, we have taken in unwanted (small) animals. We currently have: Pandora the rabbit; Claude, Humphrey and Marbles - all guinea pigs, Mittens the cat, Coco, Biscuit and Ralph - all hamsters. Claude and Humphrey were going to be fed to a ferret and two of the hamsters were adopted from Pets at Home, after the Christmas period.

However, I feel Pandora's story is one of the saddest... I adopted her from a rescue shelter that was closing down. I asked for the rabbit that was most unlikely to be homed and out came Pandora. Her right eye was closed, her fur was matted and she had no teeth: she was perfect.

After six months of veterinary treatment (and a huge credit card bill), Pandora's eye healed and she was a healthy 'bun' again. Due to her lack of teeth, she lives in the house and is spoilt rotten. I cannot tell you how much we love this animal. I would like to help other buns, as I know of two unwanted rabbits that need homing right now.

The guinea pigs have outside hutches but come inside at night and sleep in a cage (separately). Pandora has an indoor cage and all of the hamsters have their own pad(s). We believe that animals need space to roam around so we've always bought large cages.

Now we have run out of cages but I have people asking me to take in their unwanted pets, which I'd love to do. Please help me raise money for all these waifs and strays. Every pet we have has been a rescue pet and I want to do more. With your help, I can adopt more rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, and I promise to give them a loving home.
