Last year i used the 5ps from the bag charge at my business The Thistle Snack Bar and tips which totalled about £160 to ask my customers if they knew people down on thier luck that particularly had a bad year financial or otherwise and needed cheering up - to let me know who they were and where they lived including family members if they had any!

i was so humbled by how the community got behind me and donated - some donated the whole money for a sack some donated the few pounds they could afford - but all in all i managed to deliver 12 sacks and a few extra bits to some elderly single people too!

ive possibly never felt so good as to play a real life Santa bringing surprise and a bit of relief and cheer to some of the households over Skye - my two sons came with me and also really appreciated being able to experience this act of kindness from our community!

So i would like to do it again this year and hope to be able to deliver 14 sacks this year!

i have already been pointed in the direction of a few families living well below the poverty line in Skye and as happened last year - the sacks will be delivered discreetly and only the nominators and the recipients will know who they are!
