Story
The Tiger Bay Brawlers are Cardiff’s elite level roller derby team, an inclusive and empowering community who has fought their way through this year's season into making the second ever WFTDA European Continental Cup in Helsinki in October. We are proud to be a diverse and welcoming grass roots team who represent the highest level of competition in Wales.

Whilst our gameplay might be elite, our funding is not. The tournament entry fee alone is $500 and it will cost us over £5000 in flights and accommodation to take part. We receive no official funding towards these costs, so fundraising plays an essential role in helping us compete at this highest level. Without it, these costs would have to be met from skaters’ own pockets, a prospect that would exclude some members of our team from taking part.

Your money will go towards ensuring every skater has the equal opportunity to represent Cardiff, regardless of financial cost.
Every penny will help.
Thank you, Tiger Bay Brawlers

4 years agoThank you for all your support so far on our journey to the WFTDA European Cup 2019! After a fantastic weekend of roller derby and fundraising during our game against Birmingham Blitz Dames, we've raised our goal to £1500, which will help cover our skaters travel to Helsinki ensuring no skater gets left behind because of financial reasons. Keep an eye on our social media to find out what events and ways to get involved with our fundraising efforts are happening soon! Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported so far! 4 years agoAs part of our fundraising to raise money for our entry fee and travel to Helsinki, some of our skaters have been busy with their own fundraising projects! Firstly we have Kemp who is currently auctioning off a hand made vegan cake, where bidding is currently at £30! To bid, email her at tigerbaybrawlers@gmail.com. Next we have Billie Pistol who just wants to be friends! She's making customised friendship bracelets in your favourite colours! 4 years agoYesterday as part of our fundraising efforts, Tiger Bay cleaned up the streets of Cardiff to raise money to help us clean up at the WFTDA European Cup! 😎 Here’s the team with the 10 bags of rubbish they cleared up from our local community! Look out for our next fundraising event, and in the mean time, donate using our Just Giving page to help us reach our goal!
