Story
We've all seen the refugee crisis on TV and thought 'I wish there was something I could to do help.' Well, my good people, here it is!
Dear wonderful friends and family
As many of you may already know myself and my friends Charlotte and Priya travelled to Greece in October to volunteer at Eleonas refugee camp in Athens with Project Elea. We had an amazing time and experienced first hand the sorrow, troubles, needs and hopes of the 1,500 refugees living in the camp. We knew we wanted to return as soon as we landed back in England and we have booked our flights back for the end of this month.
However, after being in the camp for three weeks it was clear that many every day items were actually like gold dust! The women in camp desperately need bras, underwear and socks. The men need shoes and the children need jumpers and everyone needs warm winter jackets. During clothing distribution shifts it was clear that these things were scarce.
Therefore we are asking anyone with the means to for a donation, big or small that we will use to buy the clothes needed in camp . We very much look forward to arriving with a suitcase full of donations or maybe even two!
Thank you in advance for anything you may be able to contribute.
