Story

Matilda is a happy and bubbly 4-year-old who was born 8 weeks premature and as a result has several complex medical needs and conditions. She had a bleed on her brain not long after her birth due to being premature which has since been diagnosed as Cerebral Palsy. She also developed a form of childhood epilepsy called West Syndrome but has luckily been in remission since October 2019. She also has a chromosome abnormality called 18p deletion syndrome.

As a result, Matilda has learning difficulties and struggles with her mobility – but that doesn’t stop her infectious smile and being the life and soul of the party! We would love to be able to fund private physiotherapy for her so she can continue to develop physically, as well as any other aids that may help her along the way such as specialist shoes.

Private physio sessions cost around £85 per hourly session, and we would love to be able to do weekly or fortnightly sessions with her throughout the year. Specialist shoes also cost in the region of around £150-170 as they are made to order. We would be super grateful if you could sponsor Jon in anyway big or small as he takes on this challenge to help our Tilly Bear 😊 Thank You!
