Hi, I’m Tilly and I’m 14. I have just moved into Senior Section at Guides after completing the highest award - The Baden Powell. I also recently joined International Girlguiding and have been selected to go to Mexico in 2019 on a volunteering programme. Alongside sixteen other guides from across the UK, I will be spending two weeks in Guadalajara and Cuernavaca. The trip involves school and nursery care-work and conservation projects. The environmental side includes cleaning beaches, turtle protection and mangrove work. We hope it will be useful, rewarding and fun, not just for us, the children and local community but also the wider environment. When I get back, I will be able to share my experiences with the whole Girlguiding association, friends and family too, and raise awareness for these important issues that our world faces every day.
