Story
Once upon a time, long long ago, I used to ride my bike to work, and I quite enjoyed it. Then lovely children stampeded into my life, and I became a ‘person-who-used-to-do-exercise’.
In January this year two lycra-clad, muscular, 6 foot 4 dads cornered me in the school playground and told me that I could be like them. Well, 5 months later I am no nearer to attaining the muscles, stature or general healthy glow, but I do seem to have acquired a little too much lycra.
Thankfully this is all for a good cause. Twelve brave (or foolhardy) mums and dads from our boys’ school are taking on the slightly terrifying challenge of cycling the 186 miles from our school playground in SW London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris in less than 24 hours.
In return for me undertaking the pain and potential misery of my first ever endurance event of any kind I kindly ask you to sponsor me. We hope to raise in excess of £10,000 to pay for a new music room for the children.
So all aboard! Please click on the link and pledge towards this ‘noteworthy’ cause. The school kids will have an amazing new resource, and I will have no choice about getting up at 6 for training every Saturday and Sunday until the big day on Friday 29th June.
THANK YOU!
Tim
