Previously, I have swam the channel a few times (in my local swimming pool over 12 week periods) in support of spinal injury charity, Aspire.

This time I am endeavouring to stay dry but adopt a similar principle in attempt to generate some money for my son's scout group. They are looking to buy a minibus so they won't need to beg and borrow from other scout groups, as they have had to do for the seven years my son has been there.

My aim is to bike it to Cardiff and back before Christmas. This is approx. 500 km from my house and I will be doing this over 12 weeks on a static bike in the gym.

A £5 donation is equivalent to 1p for each 1km I ride but if you can afford to give more that would be great. As I say in my bio above, Billy has been a part of this scout group for over 7 years and all the leaders and everyone associated with running it have been absolute stars. This is a little way of saying thank you for all their efforts.
