    Story

On the 24th September 2016 Tim is undertaking the National Three Peaks Challenge which involves climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within a 24 hour period. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for The Welfare Home for Children New Delhi, India who urgently need help to raise funds for essential purchases of items such as baby formula milk, medical supplies and general baby items. The Home does a fantastic job of offering help and shelter to abandoned and destitute babies and young children from both socio-economic and psychological problem backgrounds of India by offering care, protection, education, welfare and rehabilitation.

I've chosen to help this wholly charitable dependent cause as a result of my past involvement with the home and my appreciation to the brilliant and life changing work the home undertakes. Upon my frequent business trips to India I routinely visit the home to donate various gift items from back home.. When visiting the home Mrs Khanna and Mrs Jolly, the two ladies who jointly run the home kindly remind me that the one thing the home really so desperately needs is baby formula milk..by local cost standards the formulated milk is very expensive, pretty much the same price as we pay here in the UK - about £8.00 for a 500ml tin, by Indian costs standards this is very expensive and constitutes a major expense and outgoing to the home's very limited budget, however, given the home routinely takes in newly born and abandoned babies it really is a very essential necessity - without formula milk the babies are missing out on this vital early stage nutrition they so desperately need. Please be assured the home is a very much a front line charity that does an amazing job on a very limited budget, its not under the wing or financially supported by the government or any larger charitable group - any kind offers of help will be massively appreciated..
