Story
Tim Chambers, a Cambridge University graduate, has dedicated over 34 years to Colchester Royal Grammar School. For much of this time he has served as Deputy Head and he has surpassed 100 terms! Mr Chambers is a much loved and respected teacher and mentor, and will sadly be retiring at the end of this academic year (Summer 2018).
He will be missed. His 5* rating on ratemyteachers.com says it all. 'Legend', 'An absolute legend - a classical god if ever there was one', 'Probably the best teacher I ever had. Great guy as well.'
We agree and would like to give him a gift from pupils and parents, past and present, as a token of appreciation after so many years of service.
If you would like to leave messages, we will ensure that they are passed on to him.

I am extremely grateful that I was taught by you. While the Latin is rusty and the Greek fading fast, the love for classics that was fostered at CRGS will never fade. But what happened to the beard?

I studied Latin to O'level at CRGS 1981-86, without Mr Chambers there is no way I would have even chosen it, let alone got an A. He was also my form teacher. He gave so much to so many. Amo
