The COVID-19 crisis has caused reverberating economic and social effects at the macrolevel, from economic slowdown to global lockdowns. On a smaller scale, the pandemic means that many of the elderly and other vulnerable members of the community are self-isolating or sick at home, unable to reach their local food banks. By providing extra support in the form of door-to-door deliveries, the Albrighton is doing its part to prevent urban starvation. Financial aid provides the means to ensure the bank is not only stocked but that essential food drops can continue throughout South East London.
