I work with children leaving care 16+, some of whom will be alone this Christmas and do not have the funds to enjoy a traditional day of gifts and food.

In some cases we will be the only people giving them any sort of gift and I want to do all I can to make this time of year as enjoyable as possible. This is why I am coming to you in August! In the hope I can persuade as many people as possible to help in any way - every donation counts no matter how big or small.

Any donation received would be used to buy gifts and if we are really lucky, then we would use any leftover donations to take them out for the day.
