I've raised £5000 to help redevelop the Tintern Village Hall play area and community garden

We are fundraising to help redevelop and renew the outdoor play area and community garden at Tintern Village Hall.
We have a great community here, with many young families living in the village and many more moving to join us. We are based in a beautiful area of the Wye Valley, with fabulous views across the playing field to historic Tintern Abbey, and we receive many visitors to our Village Hall play area and gardens throughout the year. Local children and young visitors from far and wide enjoy our Village Hall playground and use it all year round. At the fantastic annual Tintern Fete each summer, thousands of people use our playground and garden to relax and enjoy themselves.
Currently the upkeep of the playground and any improvements we make is paid for by our fundraising and carried out by a (very) small team of volunteers from the village - so we need your help!
Our aim is to redevelop the playground to make it an exciting and vibrant space for the children to play! We need to bring it up to scratch by replacing the old wooden cabin playframe, installing new safety matting under the equipment and erecting a safety fence to separate the play area from the car parking area. After those priorities, we want to explore some creative and exciting ideas to bring in new play equipment to encourage more interactive play and more sporting activities and to bring in more picnicking/seating areas. We also aim to continue developing our garden into a relaxing and tranquil place which gives community groups the chance to join in, grow their own veg and take pride in our local environment.
Our aim is to turn our outdoor space into a village hub for all our community and visitors!
If you have been a visitor to our playground or you would like to help our project, please donate generously!
All the funds raised will be used by Tintern Village Hall Management Committee (which is a registered charity number 505037) for this project. Thanks so much for all your help.
