On the 30th March 2002, I gave birth to an angel baby named Anastasia Rose. To say that this was a difficult time is an understatement; my world was shattered. She was buried on the 12th April, wearing a white baby grow, and her older sisters shawl- the first item I had ever bought as an expecting mother. The hospital where she was born arranged the burial, and at this time there was no offer of dressing her in a gown made especially for her. For the next 16 years, I knew I wanted to do something, anything to support the families suffering a similar loss as I did, but was not sure how.

In May 2018, I created Tiny Fingers, Tiny Toes, a facebook group dedicated to her, and to all angel babies born too soon and sleeping. Unsure of how much support I would receive, I founded the page with the hopes of bringing people together through the love of knitting and crocheting. In a matter of months, the number of members in the group and parcels that arrived through my door sky rocketed, all filled with wonderful blankets, hats, bonding squares, toys and burial gowns (recycled from old wedding dresses) for premature and newborn babies, which are donated to hospitals across England. I cannot thank you all enough for your love, support and beautiful creations.

This JustGiving page is purely to aid in the postage costs of sending these parcels. As previously stated, this is a non-profitable organisation founded in memory; we donate because we care. Any amount you could afford to donate, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and used to get these amazing items to the families and babies that need them most.
