Story
Hi guys, I've recently came back from a missionary trip in Sierra Leone, Africa, I visited a village that got hit hard by the Ebola virus killing many people, sadly most of the children in this village lost there parents leaving them orphans.
At the moment they are working in the fields from as young a 5 years old to be be near other grown ups, it's so upsetting to know that some have even died due to snake a bite while working the fields, a Cobra snake took the life of a child when we visited them, its real life hard hitting stuff, heart breaking, but this can change.
I've started a Facebook page called Vision7 that shows stories & updates you can follow.
Before meeting these children I started collecting bikes for them, This has gone really well & will have them shipped over in the new year.
But while being in the village I saw the desperate need to get these children into school & out of the fields.
10 miles away from this village, in another part of Sierra Leone we managed to get 3 orphans into a school. To see them in their school uniform now & learning & being around other children is awesome! I'd love to do the same for the other 27 orphans in Roconta village but I really need some support to make this happen! I am asking you from the bottom of my heart to do something very small that would make such a massive impact in these kids lives, they've lost their parents, their government is not like ours here in the UK, they need our help.
There is a film being made of our visit which I hope will be ready for the new year to show you guys exactly how they live & the impact the Ebola ha's had, I also plan to show you the successful outcome by media with your help guys
There is a primary school about 3 miles away from Roconta village & also a secondary school about 7 miles away, the bikes I have already collected will help these kids get to school now I just need your help to get the funds so they can attend.
Thank you. please spread the word x

8 years agoHi Guys, every little helps to get these kids out of the fields working & into school, these children as young as 5 are too young to work, in the blistering heat with nothing on their feet, some don't make it & die of snake bite. Please help me raise enough to get these orphan children a new start in life.

8 years agoI am appealing to all Facebook users to help share this post far & wide to achieve this goal. I have recently came back from Africa, Sierra Leone, I witnessed the impact that the Ebola has had on this country. Here in a small village called Roconta, they have lost half of their population due to the Ebola, leaving 27 orphan children as young as 5 years old without any parents They are working in the fields, they walk over 10 miles a day, 12 hours a day & 3 children have recently died by snake bite. I plan to get them into school.
