Story

Fourteen years ago, my friend Bel suffered a spinal cord injury when she fell from a climbing frame at just eight years old, leaving her paralysed from the shoulders down. Since then, she has faced incredible challenges, requiring daily support for many aspects of life.

Despite this, Bel has accomplished so much—she finished school, earned a degree in psychology, and now works as a fundraising assistant for Spinal Research. Alongside her career, she dedicates herself to physiotherapy three times a week, making remarkable progress. However, to continue improving, she needs additional equipment to support her rehabilitation.

As Bel’s physio, I want to help by taking on a challenge. I will complete a 24-hour Murph-a-thon: Every hour, for 24 hours, I will complete:

• ½ mile run

• 50 pull-ups

• 100 push-ups

• 150 squats

• ½ mile run

I’m doing this to raise funds to give Bel every opportunity to keep progressing. Please donate and support our journey.
