Back in May 2015 the parents of Toby Peters were told the devastating news that their 2 year old son had cancer. Their lives have been turned upside down in those three and a half years but I am SO pleased to say his parents are now planning his end of treatment party! Toby has been a hero from beginning to end despite everything he has had to endure.

Earlier this week I appealed on Facebook for someone to provide a large rainbow balloon arch for his end of treatment party next month. His Mummy has chosen the theme of rainbows to signify that at the end of every storm there is a rainbow. The response I had was unbelievable to say the least! Not only do we have the rainbow balloon arch sorted we also have a whole host of other spectacular offers as well including the visit of three superheroes to the party!

Several people offered to donate money to cover the cost of a balloon arch if no-one came forward to provide one free of charge which was incredible in itself but it wasn't necessary in the end due to several companies offering the arch without charge.

Another person then suggested I set up a Just Giving page to help raise enough money to help cover the cost of Toby and his family having a day out somewhere, something which has been very difficult for them to do over the last three years due to Toby being in isolation because of low blood counts and endless visits to both Southend Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Thank you so much for the suggestion Joanne Martin and to all the other people who replied to Joanne's comment saying they'd be more than happy to donate as well. If we can raise just £300 to help Toby and his family have a day out to remember and to celebrate his treatment coming to an end it would be amazing!
