I've raised £2000 to Get Toby triking!

MAKE A TOBY WISH COME TRUE!
CAN YOU HELP?
Cycling has always been tricky for Toby. At the age of 18months he suffered a life changing accident leaving him with an acquired brain injury affecting all fine and gross motor function, including speech, walking, eating etc. There was much that was said he might never do (including walking and talking!), but Toby is a very determined little boy! In time, he has learnt to walk, talk, write and whilst he is still very wobbly at all of these and behind his peers, he keeps pushing himself to achieve and learn. He has always been desperate to cycle like his friends, but coordinating his legs to move, whilst keeping his feet on the pedals, and not falling off the seat has been too much.
However, he was recently assessed by a specialist trike company, through the local authority, and to his delight (and ours!) was able to begin to ride under his own steam! Wow!
These specialised trikes come with extra lumber support, splints and adjustable seating and pedals, to help keep him stable enough to cycle. They are made to order so adapted especially for his needs. Cycling has the potential to give Toby confidence and that extra bit of freedom, as well as boosting his core strength and building his gross motor strength and coordination.
As you can imagine these specialist trikes are expensive, and are beyond our family means to fund in full. Applications for charity grants at this time are hard to come by, and the local authority has no funding, so we would love to be able to raise the required cost ourselves to help make Tobys dream come true to get him out and about this Summer. We need to raise £2,000 so if you would like to contribute in any way we would be so grateful!
Thank you so much!
