Story

Ransom Note, Netil Radio, Sova Audio and Eat Work Art are joining forces to present ‘Together for Ukraine’ - a 14-hour live stream to raise money for humanitarian relief efforts on the ground.

Taking place on Monday 7th March, we’ll be streaming 14 hours of music from guest DJs and Netil and Ransom Note residents live from Netil Market.

The day will start at 9am with a special breakfast show hosted by Miro Sundaymusiq and guests Masha and Lesya, who’ll be discussing the current situation in Ukraine and playing music from Ukrainian artists. Then from 11am to 11pm the airwaves will be taken over by special guests Glenn Underground, Ivan Smagghe, NIKS B2B Amaliah, Josh Caffe and Wes Baggaley, alongside DJ sets from Netil and R$N residents Jaye Ward, Unbound Events (DJ Winggold and Aidan Ray), Fizzy Disc, ELLES, Rosie Ama, Matt Cowell and TSUNIMAN.

All donations made during the stream will be split equally between the following charities and organisations: Grupa Granica, an organisation who are providing targeted support to Black and POC people at the borders; People In Need, an organisation who are delivering humanitarian aid and assistance on the ground; Black is Polish, a platform helping Black people leaving Ukraine through information on transport and temporary housing; Save Lives, a fund to support the Ukrainian army; and Voices of Children, a foundation giving psychological and psychosocial support to children affected by war.

Please give generously if you’re able to. For those who would like to come down and support in person, the music will be streaming in Netil Market throughout the day, with market vendors open and operating.

50,000 estimated casualties, 1.5 million displaced persons, 280 mile long frontline. This is the result of Russian "peacekeeping" in Ukraine since 2014. Putin's recent aggression is not just an attack on Ukraine, it is an attack on freedom and on democracy itself. Cities are being evacuated, people are fleeing their homes and there are difficulties happening at the borders all while, on the ground, Ukraine is fighting to defend itself against Putin's forces. This is a moment when everybody who stands in solidarity with those affected must mobilise to help them and their future generations.
