Together with Lindi, survivor and mother of three!

I met Lindi two years ago, outside Lunar House in Croydon, on a cold January afternoon. She had nowhere to go, another victim of the UK’s hostile environment. Since that day, I have been supporting her in any way I can.

After a year caught in bureaucratic limbo, Lindi was recently granted refugee status. But the journey has taken a heavy toll. Like many people seeking refuge, she has faced relentless obstacles. Her situation has been made even more difficult by her mental health. Lindi lives with bipolar disorder and is currently unable to work.

Her daughters remain in her home country, alone and without direct support. Lindi’s greatest concern right now is for their safety and well-being. She cannot afford to place them in a boarding school where they would be cared for while she focuses on her recovery.

This emergency crowdfunding is to raise £800 to cover one month of school and boarding fees. It is a small window of relief that would allow Lindi to begin healing, knowing her daughters are safe and supported.
