We are devastated by the loss of our friend and colleague, Dr Tom Barker-Metcalf, who died suddenly on the 16th February 2025. Tom was an intelligent, charismatic, hardworking, family man who loved being active and remains loved by all who knew him.

Tom leaves behind his family, his beautiful wife Jo, and two young children, who now face a future without him. In addition to the legacy Tom has already provided, with Jo’s blessing, we are raising funds to support his young family’s future.

Jo feels that it would be most appropriate for all contributions to be held in trust for their two wonderful children until they are older. This would be a way to show them how loved and valued their Daddy was by his colleagues and allow them to use it in whatever way they feel best, in memory of him.
