Tom's Story

Tom, 39, is the heart of his family. Known for his infectious smile and unshakeable spirit, he makes any gathering full of laughter. As a father to Jax, 10, and the ever-adorable Arabella, 1, and a devoted husband to Sarah, 37, Tom is the embodiment of what it means to be a family man. He is the life of the party, the “fun uncle” to the wider family, the one who never hesitates to bring energy and fun into every room he enters. Fit, healthy, and full of energy, Tom lived life with a sense of purpose, always on the move. Whether he was playing football with his Jax, running after Arabella, or staying active, he is a man who thrived on living life to the fullest.

But everything changed with an unexpected diagnosis. What started as a sudden shift in his energy levels soon turned into a life-altering revelation: Tom was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphotic Lukemia) which is a chronic and incurable cancer.

The news was a devastating blow, not just to Tom, but to the entire family. The man who was once the picture of health, vitality, and strength now faced an uncertain future. The impact of chemotherapy has been profound. Tom, who once would have been the first to dive into an afternoon game of football or a weekend hike, now finds himself struggling with the fatigue and side effects of treatment. His body, once capable of anything, is no longer the same. The physical changes are stark. Tom’s boundless energy has been replaced by the weight of illness, and his life, which was once filled with activity, now revolves around managing symptoms and navigating the realities of cancer. Yet, through it all, Tom has maintained incredible resilience. While the journey ahead will not be easy, Tom has chosen to focus on what he can still do, not what he has lost. With the support of his loving wife, Sarah, and their children, he is adjusting to a new normal, one where the goal is not to return to the life he once had but to build a new version of it—one that still holds room for laughter, love, and moments of joy. Tom’s story is one of strength. Though the disease may be chronic and incurable, Tom continues to fight with the same spirit that has always defined him. His determination to be there for his family, even in a different capacity, is a testament to his character. He may no longer be able to chase after his kids the way he once did, but he still offers them the greatest gift he can: love, support, and a reminder that family is the anchor through every storm.

We appreciate any support you are able to offer. Thank you for taking the time to read Tom's story.

Best regards,

The Triton Team
