I'm raising £3000 for Chris Whelan's family to help support them in covering funeral costs. Chris the Landlord of the George and Dragon was known and loved by a lot and built a pub up to be a much loved family pub in the community. He'll be missed by so many.

Chris Whelan passed away far too soon at the age of 39, leaving a profound legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness.

A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and dear friend, Chris was the heart and soul of the George and Dragon pub, where his natural warmth and effortless wit brought an entire community together.

Chris approached life with a legendary sense of humor and a genuinely kind spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

More than anything, he was a dedicated family man, leaving behind his wife of less than two years and their beautiful four-year-old daughter.

Chris’ vibrant presence and generous heart will be missed immensely, but his spirit will live on in the community he built and the family he loved so dearly.
