Story

Hi guys and girls, let me introduce you to Maci.

Maci is one of our junior boxers and a huge fighter, but she is a fighter of a different kind!

One far greater than most of us can ever hope to be.

Maci is only 5, but her battle began when she was born and its a battle that can't be won with hard training or extra rounds.

At just 10 weeks old, she was admitted to Southend hospital due to not feeding and when another 10 weeks of being fed through a nasal gastric tube had little affect and she started losing her hair.

In March 2013, she was diagnosed with a bowel disease known as eosinophilic enterocolitis and after numerous tests and trials by Great Ormand Street Hospital to get food into her system, they finally had to fit a Hickman Line into her jugular vein and heart in May 2013 and she has been Nil by Mouth ever since.

While most kids are enjoying sweets and cakes and freedom, Maci can not taste any of these, and severely high risks of deadly infections limit her activities.

This is due to her having to wear a Stoma Bag 24/7

In 2014 Maci suffered more bad news with the onset of seizures, which resulted in cysts on her brain being discovered and Raised Mast Cells, which affect her nervous system.

So here is a little 5 year old warrior, that hasnt tasted food, is fed through a constant intravenous for 16 hours a night, can't get out to play much, has spent most of her life in hospital and doesn't get to live her life like most other 5 year old girls.

The family and friends have been trying to fundraise for a couple of great causes.

The first is to create her very own garden to come home to.

A place she can play safely without risk of injury and infection.

And secondly, to raise funds for Great Ormand Street Hospital, so they may continue to research Maci's little known about condition.

I would ask each and every one of you on our page to try and click on the link and donate.

Even if it's just £1.00, we could easily raise enough for her garden between us alone!

We have our faith in you all as ever, to pull together for a great cause

If you click on the link, donate a pound and comment done, we can send you a message of appreciation.

Thank you all
