Story

My dear friend Michael was sadly robbed in broad daylight in North London yesterday and I'm trying to reach out to any close friends and good folk that might be able to donate a few £ to help him get back on his feet.

On the 11th of July at around 1pm whilst briefly in a clients flat in Mild May Grove North, London, 4 men in high vis jackets pulled up in a vehicle next to his, drilled a hole in their side door, removed the van vault and all his carpentry power tools and scattered the work he'd just finished over the pavement. Both the client and Michael took it in turns to call the police and sat waiting for 12 hours for someone to come out and investigate the theft. At 12.50am, after the Police having not returned a single call or sent an officer to the scene of the crime, they gave up and decided to go their beds. In the morning Michael received a text from the Police to say that they had tried to call him and that there was nothing they could do and the case was now closed!

After talking to local residents they discovered that there had been a string of similar incidents and the police have done nothing and not even put up signs or warnings to people working in the area. Although there is CCTV that clearly covers the area from both ends , the Police don't have the funding to look at it, even though they can give a 45 minute time frame of when the theft took place.

Michael is not a wealthy man by any means. They have taken his whole livelihood. All of the money he earns goes back into his business and maintaining his tools. He hasn't had a holiday in years and buys his clothes from charity shops. The thieves may have mistaken his spotlessly clean looking van that he proudly cleans most weekends for that of a person with money... how wrong could they be... Around £4,000 worth of tools were stolen from him and his insurance doesn't cover theft from vehicles. He doesn't have any savings and can't finish the jobs he is currently working on without them.

Please help give what ever you can afford to help him get back on his feet. He's a good bloke and deserves a bit of luck.
