Story
This April (in less than a month!!), a few fellow “MAMILs” and I will attempt to cycle from Land’s End to London in four days. That’s roughly 90 miles a day, with plenty of hills thrown in for good measure.
This isn’t an organised ride: There’s no support van, no mechanics or guides, and no aid stations waiting for us with cake and energy drinks. It’s just six chubby chaps on bikes, battling their inner demons and the Great British weather. What could possibly go wrong?!
I am doing this to raise money for Under Tree Schools, an amazing charity providing education for girls in South Sudan.
The school was founded in 2009 and now educates around 500 girls aged 6–15, many of whom would otherwise have no access to schooling. The charity directly funds teachers, learning materials, uniforms, infrastructure, and food, helping give these girls the chance of an education and a future.
I’ve been a trustee of this brilliant charity for nearly two years and have seen first-hand how even small donations can make a life-changing difference. Thousands of girls have already gone on to secondary education and opportunities that simply wouldn’t have existed before. Check it out here: www.undertreeschools.org.
Thank you for your support — and for helping turn pedal power into real opportunities for girls in South Sudan.
