We're collecting for the South Cumbria Rivers Trust to commemorate our much-loved dad: Tom Bruce.

Dad worked for the Environment Agency for over 30 years across multiple sectors, beginning with the preservation and protection of UK waterways. A good fit for a man for whom an appreciation for the natural environment was so deeply engrained. An appreciation which never left.

Dad could be found up and down the fells of The Lake District most weekends, based out of our cosy flat in Grange-Over-Sands. After decades of embodying "dad" to its absolute fullest, the next stage of his life began with the flat in Grange. This project brought him joy and satisfaction these last few years, and we could all see the pride, peace, and contentment he felt at what he had achieved.

Whilst dad will no longer wander The Lakes, we hope that with a donation to the trust dad's spirit will live on through the preservation of the beautiful and ancient waters of The Lake District.
