I've raised £1000 to support Mighty Magnus in his fight against neuroblastoma.

I will be Mountain biking over 100 miles on 23 June to raise money for Mighty Magnus' Medicine.
Just after Christmas, one of Holly's school friends was diagnosed with a childhood cancer called neuroblastoma. Affecting approximately 100 children in the UK each year, neuroblastoma gave Magnus a pint sized tumour in his abdomen and spread to his bones and bone marrow. Over the last 6 months Magnus has been through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. He will soon start stem cell replacement therapy to try and keep him in remission. Even with all this treatment, 60% of children relapse without the next step in treatment. Dinutuximab beta reduces that figure to just 10%.
Dinutuximab beta is a standard part of the treatment plan in Europe and the USA. The NHS are in negotiations with the manufacturer to make it available here but there is no knowing how long that negotiation will take. And Magnus' treatment plan cannot wait. Magnus' family must plan to fund the treatment themselves at an estimated cost of £150,000.
This is a huge amount if money to pull out of nowhere so Magnus' extended family and friends are fundraising in an effort to try reduce the additional stress this financial pressure puts on an already horribly stressful situation.
The Solstice 100 starts in Northampton and pedals on and off road to the Cotswolds and back. I have put in the miles during training. I have fallen off numerous times, blasted through stinging nettles, and learned to appreciate ice baths!
Thanks for supporting me. Every donation will be hugely appreciated and make all my efforts worth while.
If you have any questions about what I am doing or about Mighty Magnus' Medicine, please do get in touch. Thanks & wish me luck!
