Story

I am reaching out to our community, friends, and family for assistance in covering the costs associated with my baby girls condition Micrognathia and ACC. Micrognathia is an underveloped chin which has not grown in the utero and ACC is the missing part of brain named Agenesis of the corpus collosum an important part of brain which connects both left and right side together. It has now been confirmed talia has pierre robin sequence which is the name of her small jaw syndrome (micrognathia) however we are still waiting for tests to come back to under stand her underlying condition which is also causing her brain abnormaility. We was told Talia had a 50/50 chance of survival as our consultants and Drs believed and still believes she has a serious genetic error linked to the small chin and missing part of brain. So far our little girl is proving just how strong she is with undergoing major surgery to get a tracheostomy fitted to stable her airway and without this surgery we may have lost her due to the lack of oxygen she was taking in. The financial burden is extremely overwhelming due to travel costs for my husband back and forth to Glasgow to see us everyday when he returns to work along with my 2 beautiful girls who will want to see their baby sister as often as possible when their attending school. Any contribution, no matter how small or big , will make a difference and help us with any travel expenses, any medical things we may need to buy ourselves to keep in the house for if and when she returns home. We want to ensure everything is medically prepared for her and it will also prepare us for any worst case scenarios that could still arise as we have a very long journey ahead of us and still waiting alot of testing and MRI’s for our little girl. We will also contribute some of this donation to the level 1 NICU in Glasgow for doing an incredible job in getting our baby girl safely out of surgery snd stabling her airway to give her a fighting chance.

I humbly ask for your generosity and support during this challenging time as a family and the long road ahead. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to our story and for considering supporting us during this difficult time it means more to me and my little family than words can express.
