Story
Around about 2 years ago my brother (Adam) had a mental breakdown, it got that bad that he would lock himself away in the house and not come out. One of the most heart wrenching times of my whole entire life was one night when i was round at my mum and dad. Adam phoned saying he was coming round, when he got there he went straight up to my mum and dads room and broke down in hysterics (now this is a man that is always laughing and joking with everyone) I have never heard anyone cry in such a way as i did that night. I felt completely helpless, here is my little brother going through something so bad that it has reduced him to hysterical crying and locking himself away and i could not do anything to help him.
Fortunately for him, my mum found a small local charity to take him to (Choices 2 change). This charity have helped him in so many ways and everyone in my whole family is so grateful for them being there for my brother in his time of need. My brother is now able to lead a healthy life, don't get me wrong he still has ups and downs but has learnt ways of coping with his demons and is able to get out and about thanks to talking to choices 2 change. They also gave him the confidence to get back to work which has lead him to start his own mechanics business, which for someone with severe anxiety is a major step in the right direction.
Myself and Adam have decided to take part in Tough Mudder North West next weekend (Sunday 10th September) to give something back to this fantastic charity. If you could spare a couple of pounds for this charity we would both be greatly appreciative.
Choices 2 change offer counselling, amongst other things which are affordable for all walks of life no matter what your circumstances are. All they ask for is a donation (big or small) so all in need can acquire the services of a professional at a price affordable to them.
Thank you for taking your time and reading and if you know of anyone or maybe even yourself need a little extra guidance along the way get in touch they have done wonders for Adam
